The PFA profile for Gareth Bale has been updated for 2012-13 season say Digital Sports Group

(PRWEB UK) 16 February 2013

Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA profile for the professional footballer Gareth Bale has been been updated. The PFA player profiles provide a unique and unrivalled insight into a professional footballers career with full career stats, news biographies and features.

Bale is a talented left-sided player who joined Tottenham Hotspur from Southampton in May 2007 when he was still only 17 years old.

Gareth started out as an attacking left back but has subsequently pushed forward into a more advanced role on the left side of midfield. Gareth has plenty of pace, good passing skills and contributes a healthy tally of goals.

He has since gone on to produce some superb performances, perhaps the best of which came in the Champions League tie away to Inter Milan in October 2010 when he scored a hat-trick. He went on to set up two of his team's goals in the return fixture which saw Spurs triumph over their Serie A opponents.

He was again in excellent form in 2011-12 when he was rarely absent from the line-up and reached a double-figure goals tally. He was also selected for the PFA Premier League Team of the Season for the second successive year.

Gareth made his full international debut for Wales as a 16-year-old and has continued to retain his place in the team.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say ?Gareth Bale is a fantastic player and we have been working hard to provide the most fantastic resource that is both enjoyable to use and useful. Working with the PFA provides unique biographical information and insights that can be found nowhere else online. We are proud of our partnership with the Professional Footballers Association and the unrivalled access this provides us to the players.?

DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
