Winnebago Resurrects 'Minnie' as Travel Trailer | RV Business

The venerable Winnebago Minnie brand name has returned to the RV industry as a diminutive but distinctive travel trailer rather than a simplistic ? yet popular ? Class C motorhome. Winnebago Towables, Middlebury, Ind., has introduced the Winnebago Minnie in 19- to 26-foot floorplans ? all but one with a single slideout. The entry-level Winnebago Minnie, with a $15,754 base MSRP, comes in white, bright lemon and lime fiberglass exteriors. ?Those colors have been really popular in the boat market and will stand out on the dealers? lots,? said Fred Hershberger, Winnebago Towables national sales manager. Forest City, Iowa-based Winnebago Industries Inc., Winnebago Towables? parent company, retired the Winnebago Minnie brand minimotorhome several years ago. ?The neat thing about the Winnebago Minnie is Winnebago?s purchasing power,? Hershberger said. ?We are able to include the same type of features that are in our Winnebago sister products. It?s the same fiberglass, same faucets, same furniture and same cabinets.? The Winnebago Minnie debuted in mid-May during Winnebago?s Dealers Days at the Las Vegas Hotel.
