Dazed and horribly confused - Adoption.com Forums

Definitely visit. If you don't, then it will be seen as lack of interest. Do whatever they ask you to do!

We have been that foster parent, though. It's really hard when family comes into the picture late (even though it's not your fault), and it's terrifying to think of losing a child that you have raised in your home for so long. I think if you can offer some contact with the foster family, it will make things go smoother for all, including the child.

It will be hard on him to be moved, so remember that when he's having unreasonable meltdowns and up and crying all night. But if you are visiting and showing interest, you have a good chance of him being placed with you. As sad as that will be for the FP's if they were hoping to adopt him...but totally understandable that you want your family member with you. It's frustrating that you weren't included in this ALOT sooner.
