The Tippie School of Management at the University of Iowa invites applications to fill the Associate Director of MBA Career Services position. The Tippie School offers a top 50 ranked MBA program and serves 130 full-time and over 800 part-time and executive MBA students each year. The MBA Career Services (MBACS) Associate Director has responsibility for enhancing and supporting student educational experiences, specifically within career development of full-time MBA students. In this capacity, s/he provides comprehensive career development through one-on-one advising, sources MBA-level job and internship opportunities, and helps to manage relationships with corporate recruiters and alumni. These initiatives support the ever-evolving interests and needs of Tippie's globally diverse student body and prepare them to succeed. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 1-3 years in corporate recruiting and/or career coaching. An assertive approach to actively sourcing open roles, maintaining ongoing outreach to new and existing employers, and providing direct referrals into organizations on behalf of students is essential to the role. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and project management skills are needed in order to deliver high-level of service to the full-time MBA students. Driver's license required. Desired qualifications include a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Counseling, or Higher Education and well as an in-depth knowledge of the MBA marketplace desirable. Experience with MBA recruiting process is desirable with 3-5 years of experience in employment/career development services, including career coaching in a highly competitive, placement-focused environment and an understanding and/or experience of careers in marketing and strategy highly desirable.
