LONDON (AP) ? Dame Judi Dench and Dev Patel brought an Indian adventure to a chilly London with the world premiere Tuesday of their new film, "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel."

The movie, directed by John Madden, sees a group of retirement age Brits move to India to see out their elderly years in colorful Jaipur. Patel, of "Slumdog Millionaire" fame, plays the guy who entices them to take the adventure.

Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy and Penelope Wilton were also among the cast out on the red carpet for the event at the Curzon Mayfair in London.

"I had to ride a motorcycle through the streets of Jaipur with Judi Dench on the back, which was very, very freaky because I have never done it before and my whole thing became 'Don't kill Judi Dench," Nigh joked.

Despite her character's choice to retire, it appears that's the last thing on Dench's mind.

"I am not going to retire hopefully, I am just going to hope that work will come. If I don't do this, I will do something else," she said.

The movie opens in the U.K. and Ireland on Feb. 24.

Aspergers & the Alien: Aspies Need People...Friends, Relationships

One of the subjects I discussed with my Eldest Aspie son in the prison visiting room today, was the sad fact that Aspies need peoples. I'm not sure why this is so troubling to admit and I must say it is irritating and somewhat infuriating. Why do we need something, due to our inability to make sound choices and decisions based on our Aspie brains that don't always see the scope of events and the consequences of our actions.
Our ability to reason....is different and often not fully capable of predicting our actions, the plausible reactions of others or outcomes.
It's tough to admit fragility and inadequacy. I was so, like, born alone and fully equipped to live peacefully and successfully on the island of my choice, but no, I must acquiesce and play with the big peoples and its a bitch to admit I need someone else guidance or their advice or thoughts on a matter.
Because I cannot soundly judge the consequences of my own actions....dammit. Seems like such a handicap.
And it's not even that I need one friend or sounding board, no, I need at least two. Yeah, like the challenges of trying to maintain one friendship was not enough. No, there must be more than one.
Having only one trusted friend is what put Eldest in prison. We discussed that and agreed that we need the help and assist of others and we Must fucking open ourselves up and trust and talk and Reveal our selves and who We are so we don't fuck up too badly and end up behind bars.
What a load of pure shit.
I only wish others had a smidgen of an inkling as to the amount of work, effort, sweat and tears that goes into trying to make a single fucking relationship work. This seems sooo fricking unreasonable. Yeah, let's take someone who has tremendous difficulty even undertaking a pseudo relationship and make them need and have to have at least two sound, compassionate, non carbonated, helping and caring souls in their life just to get thru this thing called daily life.

Zuckerberg and D'Angelo discuss what "the Facebook thing" should be like.

Zuckerberg: So you know how I'm making that dating site

Zuckerberg: I wonder how similar that is to the Facebook thing

Zuckerberg: Because they're probably going to be released around the same time

Zuckerberg: Unless I fuck the dating site people over and quit on them right before I told them I'd have it done.

D'Angelo: haha

HBT: Marlins sell out first game at new stadium, sort of

The Miami Marlins have figured out a way to erase the embarrassment of poor attendance figures: Make fewer tickets available. Brilliant!

The Marlins have announced a sellout for their first game at their new ballpark, a contest against the University of Miami on March 6, reports the Miami Herald.

Of course calling it a sellout is a tad misleading, as the team limited capacity for the game to 10,000. For some reason, there are 15,000 seats available for the Marlins? game against Florida International the next day. That matchup, not surprisingly, has yet to sell out.

To be fair (which takes the fun out of everything!) we?re talking about exhibition games here. Drawing 10,000 for a non-counter against a college team isn?t too shabby.

Smartly, the Marlins have kept the actual capacity of their new stadium on the smallish side ? 37,000 ? so with a pretty exciting team featuring the likes of Jose Reyes, Mike Stanton and Josh Johnson (and Yoenis Cespedes?), the Marlins ought to be able to claim some actual sellouts in 2012, at least during the early part of the season.
